49 systems · Checked against live NSF, WQA, and IAPMO listings on September 30, 2026

The headline finding: across 49 systems, only two have a verifiable system-level certification we could find in a live listing (the GE GXWH60T and Whirlpool WHELJ1). A third, the Pelican PC600’s NSF 42 via IAPMO, rests on a certificate copy marked “void after February 2024,” so we don’t present it as currently certified. Most “certified” marketing in this industry means certified components, “tested to meet” a standard, or a claim with no live listing behind it. This table separates the three.
System NSF 42 NSF 53 NSF 58 NSF 372 PFAS evidence Claim vs. certified
3M Aqua-Pure AP902 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Retailers and Amazon listings claim 'NSF STANDARD 42 CERTIFIED' for the AP902; other retailers say 'Components certified by NSF International with NSF/ANSI Standard 42' (components only). The 3M AP900-series spec sheet marks the AP902 particulate claim with footnote 2 = 'As tested and verified by manufacturer's laboratory', not independent certification. No NSF DWTU, WQA, or IAPMO listing for AP902 found as of 2026-09-30.
3M Aqua-Pure AP903 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found 3M's AP900-series spec sheet states 'The AP903 and AP904 Water Filtration System has been tested and certified to NSF/ANSI standard 42' and retailers repeat 'NSF STANDARD 42 CERTIFIED'. However, no NSF Drinking Water Treatment Units listing for the AP903 could be opened, the only info.nsf.org listing found for the AP900 series is an NSF REG4 (UK Regulation 4 water-fittings) listing for 3M Purification Inc., which is a different program, not an NSF/ANSI 42 performance certification. No WQA or IAPMO listing found as of 2026-09-30. Recorded as not-listed pending a verifiable DWTU listing; the…
3M Aqua-Pure AP904 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found A 3M AP900-series document states 'The AP903 and AP904 Water Filtration System has been tested and certified to NSF/ANSI standard 42 for the reduction of the substances listed in the system Performance Data Sheet.' However, the same document's performance table marks AP904's chlorine/scale claims with footnote 2 = 'As tested and verified by manufacturer's laboratory.' No NSF DWTU, WQA, or IAPMO listing for AP904 found as of 2026-09-30, the certification claim could not be verified in any live directory.
APEC CB1-CAB20-BB Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found APEC makes no certification claims for the CB whole-house line. APEC's WQA Gold Seal (NSF 58) applies to its under-sink RO systems (e.g. ROES series), not this carbon filter. No NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing found as of 2026-09-30.
APEC CB1-SED20-BB Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found APEC makes no certification claims for the CB whole-house line. APEC's WQA Gold Seal (NSF 58) applies to its under-sink RO systems (e.g. ROES series), not this sediment filter. No NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing found as of 2026-09-30.
APEC CB3-SED-KDF-CAB20-BB Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found APEC makes no certification claims for the CB whole-house line. APEC's WQA Gold Seal (NSF 58) applies to its under-sink RO systems (e.g. ROES series), not this 3-stage system. No NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing found as of 2026-09-30.
Aquasana Rhino EQ-1000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Aquasana's own language is careful: the EQ-1000 is 'independently tested to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 to remove up to 97% of chlorine' (tested, NOT certified) and the Rhino tank is 'WQA certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61'. Aquasana's own owner's manual states the tank is 'tested and certified by WQA under NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for Materials Safety Requirements Only and CSA B483.1 for Materials Safety and Structural Integrity Requirements. Not certified for contaminant reductions by WQA.' Third-party affiliate copy claiming 'IAPMO NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certification' for the EQ-1000 is contradicted by…
Aquasana Rhino EQ-1000-AST (whole-house filter + SimplySoft salt-free conditioner, no UV) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No live NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing found for the EQ-1000-AST bundle SKU as of 2026-09-30. Aquasana's own language for the Rhino family is 'independently tested to NSF/ANSI 42' (brand lab data, not a certification); the Rhino tank is WQA certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 (materials/structural only). The SimplySoft conditioner add-on claims 'NSF Certified NAC media' (component media, not system) and DVGW W-512 independent scale-reduction testing (99.6% scale reduction per manufacturer); neither is a system-level certification. Reviewer/retailer 'WQA certified components' language refers to components…
Aquasana Rhino EQ-1000-AST-UV (whole-house filter + SimplySoft + UV purifier) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No live NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing found for the EQ-1000-AST-UV bundle SKU as of 2026-09-30. Aquasana holds live NSF/ANSI 55 listings for standalone point-of-entry UV models AQ-UV-MF and AQ-UV-SF (Disinfection Performance, Class B; also 372/61 conformance), but the bundle's UV add-on (replacement lamp AQ-UV-L330C per manufacturer parts data) could not be tied to those listed models, so NSF 55 is not attributed to this bundle. Same component-level story as the other Rhino bundles (WQA 61 tank; 'independently tested to 42' brand language).
Aquasana Rhino EQ-WELL-UV-PRO-AST (well-water filter + SimplySoft + UV purifier) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No live NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing found for the EQ-WELL-UV-PRO-AST bundle SKU as of 2026-09-30. Well-water bundle variant of the EQ-1000 family; same certification picture as the other Rhino bundles – no system-level listing, WQA 61 tank only, 'independently tested to NSF/ANSI 42' brand language.
GE GXWH60T Certified Not listed Not listed Certified None found
GE GXWH70M Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No certification claims found in marketing for the GXWH70M housing itself; no NSF, WQA, or IAPMO listing found as of 2026-09-30. Note the system ships without a filter, any contaminant-reduction certification would attach to the separately sold FTHPM/FTHTM/FTHLM cartridges, which were not separately verified here.
Home Master HMF2SMGCC Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Home Master marketing says 'NSF Certified components' and 'NSF listed company'; Home Depot lists 'NSF Listed'. The live NSF DWTU listing for Perfect Water Technologies (info.nsf.org, Company C0252071, NSF/ANSI 42) covers only COMPONENTS: filter cartridges, material-requirements-only, no system-level certification for HMF2SMGCC found as of 2026-09-30.
Home Master (Perfect Water Technologies) HMF2SmgRFCC Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Home Master (Perfect Water Technologies) marketing states products are made from 'NSF Certified components' and that the company is an 'NSF listed company', components/company claims, not system-level performance certification for the HMF2SMGRFCC. A performance data sheet found online covers a different model (HM-MINI, NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 'tested according to', not the HMF2SMGRFCC and 'tested according to' is not certification). No NSF, WQA, or IAPMO listing located for the HMF2SMGRFCC as of 2026-09-30.
Home Master HMF3SDGFEC Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Amazon/Home Master copy says 'NSF-certified components' and 'NSF listed company', component-level claims only. A Perfect Water Technologies performance data sheet found online (HM-MINI 1-micron carbon block, NSF/ANSI 42 and 53) covers a different model and is not attributed here. No system-level NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing for HMF3SDGFEC found as of 2026-09-30.
iSpring WDS150K Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found iSpring says the filter was 'tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF 42/60 standards', 'tested to meet' is not certification, no certifying body is named, and no listing exists in the live NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories checked 2026-09-30. NSF/ANSI 60 is outside the certification columns requested and concerns treatment-chemical materials, not full-system performance.
iSpring WF150K Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found iSpring marketing (Amazon and retailer copy) says the WF150K is "tested by the water lab to meet NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 standards" and elsewhere "tested according to NSF/ANSI 42/58 standards", "tested to meet" by an unnamed lab is not certification, and no certification body is named. The live NSF DWTU company listing for iSpring Water Systems LLC (14 products, checked 2026-09-30) is entirely NSF/ANSI 58 under-sink RO systems (RCC7 / RO500 families); the WF150K does not appear. No WQA or IAPMO listing for the WF150K found. Do not present the WF150K as NSF-certified.
iSpring WGB12B Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Manufacturer says the carbon filter was 'tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards' but names no standard and no certifying body; no NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing for the WGB12B system or its cartridges exists in the live official directories checked 2026-09-30.
iSpring WGB22B Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Retailer copy claims 'NSF Certified' sediment and CTO carbon cartridges, but no standard is named and no NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing for the WGB22B system exists in the live official directories checked 2026-09-30; component claims do not establish full-system certification. Search results are polluted by WGB22B-PB (lead) variants, do not attribute those to base WGB22B.
iSpring WGB32B Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found iSpring marketing states the WGB32B's filters are 'tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards' and that the system 'meets NSF/ANSI standards', no specific standard named, no certification body named, and no NSF, WQA, or IAPMO listing located for the WGB32B as of 2026-09-30. Vague 'meets standards' language is not a certification.
iSpring WGB32B-PB Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found iSpring markets the FCRC25B lead-reducing cartridge with lead reduction 'below 15 ppb' and says filters were 'tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF and ANSI standards', but names no standard and no certifying body. There is NO NSF/ANSI 53 certification: no listing exists in the live NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories checked 2026-09-30. Lead-reduction marketing must not be read as NSF 53 certification.
iSpring WGB32BM Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Retailer wording derived from iSpring says the sediment and carbon filters were 'independently tested to meet NSF/ANSI standards' with no standard or body named; the specialized FM25B iron/manganese cartridge carries no certification claim at all. No NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing for the WGB32BM system or its cartridges exists in the live official directories checked 2026-09-30.
Kind Water E-1000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Kind's FAQ states 'Our NSF/ANSI 42 certified carbon filtration', no finished-system listing found in NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories. QualityWaterLab confirms the E-1000 'isn't NSF-certified as a complete unit'; components are tested to NSF/ANSI 42, 61, 372 and meet CSA B483.1.
Kind Water E-2000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Kind's product page lists 'Certification: NSF/ANSI 42, 61, 372' but the comparison table on the same page says '42, 61, 372 independently tested', the brand's own wording indicates component-level testing, not system certification. No finished-system listing in NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories. waterdefense.org confirms no NSF/ANSI 44 for the E-2000.
Kind Water E-3000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Kind Water markets the E-3000 as having 'All Certified Components' (NSF/ANSI 42, 61, and 372 for components, per newer marketing; the E-3000UV comparison table lists NSF/ANSI 42, 61, 372 as 'independently tested'). These are component-level claims, not a certified finished E-3000 system. No live NSF, WQA, or IAPMO listing for Kind Water Systems or the E-3000 was found on 2026-09-30 (NSF DWTU manufacturer search for 'Kind' returned only an unrelated Indonesian carbon manufacturer). Do not present the E-3000 as NSF-certified.
Kind Water E-3000UV Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Kind markets the UV stage as 'Certified: NSF/ANSI 55 (Disinfection Performance and Microbial Safety)', that certification is held by LUMINOR, the UV equipment OEM, not by the Kind E-3000UV system. No finished-system listing for the E-3000UV in NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories. TAC media holds a WQA NSF/ANSI 61 material-safety cert under Next Filtration (media OEM), not a system performance listing.
Kind Water WS-6000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No certification information published for the WS-6000 specifically. Kind's FAQ claims 'NSF/ANSI 42 certified carbon filtration' for City and Well water, no finished-system listing found in NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories to support a WS-6000 listing.
Pelican (Pentair) PC1000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Pentair's PC600/PC1000 owner's manuals state: "Certified By IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine Taste & Odor, structural integrity & NSF/ANSI 61 for material safety." However, no live IAPMO listing for the PC1000 could be opened, pld.iapmo.org is a JavaScript app not queryable via text fetch, no PC1000 NSF DWTU listing exists under Pelican or Pentair, and no WQA listing was verified. The only IAPMO certificate copy found (Shopify-hosted, File W-10918, effective Feb 2019) names "Pelican PC 600" only, shows "Void After: February 2024," and states it is "not evidence…
Pelican (Pentair) PC600 Cert copy expired Not listed Not listed Not listed None found IMPORTANT: the IAPMO certificate copy (File W-10918, NSF/ANSI 42-2019, effective Feb 2019) is marked 'Void After: February 2024' and states it is not evidence of current listing. No current listing could be verified, so this system is not presented as currently certified. Retailer marketing claims 'Certified by IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine up to 97%, structural integrity and NSF/ANSI 61 for material safety', the NSF/ANSI 42 portion verified against the actual IAPMO certificate (File W-10918); the NSF/ANSI 61 material-safety certificate copy was not…
Pelican (Pentair) PSE1800 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No system-level certification exists for the PSE1800 combo. Component-level claims from Pentair manuals: the PC600 carbon tank is claimed IAPMO R&T certified to NSF/ANSI 42 (chlorine taste & odor, structural integrity) and 61 (material safety); the NaturSoft NS3 conditioner is claimed IAPMO R&T certified to NSF/ANSI 61 (material safety), with older Pelican manuals citing WQA Gold Seal 61 instead. None of these are combo-system certifications, and no live IAPMO/NSF/WQA listing for PSE1800 was opened. See pelican-pc1000 notes: the IAPMO evidence for the PC600 component is an expired cert copy…
Pelican (Pentair) PSE2000 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found No system-level certification exists for the PSE2000 combo. Component-level claims from Pentair manuals: the PC1000 carbon tank is claimed IAPMO R&T certified to NSF/ANSI 42 (chlorine taste & odor, structural integrity) and 61 (material safety); the NaturSoft NS6 conditioner is claimed IAPMO R&T certified to NSF/ANSI 61 (material safety), with older Pelican manuals citing WQA Gold Seal 61 instead. None of these are combo-system certifications, and no live IAPMO/NSF/WQA listing for PSE2000 was opened. The PC1000 component's IAPMO claim itself is unverified (no live listing; the only IAPMO cert…
Pelican (Pentair) WF10-P Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found The WF10-P combo's manual states: "Certified By IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine Taste & Odor, structural integrity & NSF/ANSI 61 for material safety" (for the iron & manganese filter portion), and Pentair's product page lists NaturSoft NS3-P/NS6-P as IAPMO tested and certified under NSF/ANSI 61 for material safety (42 for structural integrity only), plus Clack bypass fittings certified to NSF/ANSI 61. These are manufacturer-published claims; no live IAPMO/NSF/WQA listing for WF10-P was opened, and the only IAPMO certificate copy found in this research (File…
SpringWell CF+ Whole House Water Filter (7+ bathrooms, 20 GPM) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed Independently tested SpringWell markets 'NSF-certified components' (catalytic carbon/KDF media and tank materials); no system-level NSF/WQA/IAPMO listing exists for any CF-series model – a site:info.nsf.org search for SpringWell returns zero results as of 2026-09-30, and no WQA/IAPMO listing could be found. IAPMO's PLD (pld.iapmo.org) is a JavaScript app and could not be queried directly.
SpringWell CF1 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed Independently tested SpringWell does not market the CF1 as NSF-, WQA-, or IAPMO-certified, and no such listing exists: the NSF DWTU manufacturer search for 'SpringWell' on 2026-09-30 returned zero matching manufacturers. The CF1's evidence base is third-party lab testing (Tap Score/SimpleLab pre/post-install reports published by reviewer QualityWaterLab) showing total THMs reduced from 31.8 ppb to non-detectable and PFAS to non-detectable in that testing environment. Manufacturer marketing names PFOA/PFOS as treatment targets, but that is a claim, not a certification. Testing is not certification and must never…
SpringWell CF4 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Same certification posture as the CF1: the CF4 is a larger-tank variant of the same catalytic carbon + KDF design and carries no NSF, WQA, or IAPMO listing (no SpringWell manufacturer entry in the NSF DWTU database as of 2026-09-30). Lab evidence is CF1-specific (third-party Tap Score/SimpleLab testing published by QualityWaterLab); it is reasonable but not documented that CF4 performs equivalently given identical media, flag this inference and do not present CF4 lab data as if separately tested.
SpringWell CSF1 Water Filter + FutureSoft Salt-Free Combo (city water, 1–3 bathrooms) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Third-party review states the CSF1 is 'Not NSF certified as a complete system'. Brand markets PFAS reduction for the filter portion of the combo, but no certification listing backs it. Related CF1 model showed PFAS non-detect in third-party reviewer lab testing, but that testing was performed on the CF1, not the CSF1 combo, not attributed here.
SpringWell CSF4 Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed Independently tested No finished-system listing for any SpringWell consumer product in NSF (info.nsf.org), IAPMO R&T (pld.iapmo.org), or WQA (find.wqa.org) directories, verified by direct directory checks 2026-05-24. SpringWell's posture is certified component materials (catalytic carbon, KDF media) plus third-party lab performance testing, not system certification. A competitor page (softprowatersystems.com) claims SpringWell well-water softeners carry NSF/ANSI 44, no listing found to support this; not a certification-body source.
SpringWell FS1 FutureSoft Salt-Free Water Conditioner (1–3 bathrooms) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Press/marketing describe 'certified TAC media' and reviewers note 'built with certified components', component-level language. No system-level listing at NSF, WQA, or IAPMO as of 2026-09-30. Salt-free TAC conditioners have no NSF performance standard equivalent to softener Standard 44; no listing claimed or found.
SpringWell FS4 FutureSoft Salt-Free Water Conditioner (4–6 bathrooms) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Larger-size sibling of the FS1 (same TAC media, same product line). Same certification picture: component-level 'certified' language only; no system-level listing at NSF, WQA, or IAPMO as of 2026-09-30.
SpringWell SS1 (32,000-grain salt-based softener) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found SpringWell and third-party reviewers state the SS1 is built from 'NSF-certified components', a components claim, not a system performance certification. Reviewer waterfilterguru.com (2024) states the SS system has 'no available third-party test results to view online, and the system hasn't been officially performance certified' (would expect NSF/ANSI 44 for a cation-exchange softener). No NSF, WQA, or IAPMO system-level listing located as of 2026-09-30.
SpringWell SS4 Salt-Based Water Softener (4-6 bathrooms, 48,000 grain) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found A competitor's marketing page (softprowatersystems.com) states the SpringWell SS line carries NSF/ANSI 44 certification, but no listing exists in NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories (site:info.nsf.org SpringWell = zero results as of 2026-09-30). Independent reviewer waterfilterguru.com states the SS system 'hasn't been officially performance certified' and notes certified components only. A cation-exchange softener would be expected under NSF/ANSI 44; nothing found.
SpringWell WS1 Well Water Filter (1–3 bathrooms) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Reviewer spec table (waterfilteriq) lists 'NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and 61'; brand and other reviewers describe 'NSF-certified components' (component-level). No system-level listing for SpringWell found at NSF, WQA, or IAPMO as of 2026-09-30; site:info.nsf.org search returned zero results and the NSF DWTU directory shows no SpringWell manufacturer entry.
SpringWell WS4 Well Water Filter (4–6 bathrooms) Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Larger-size sibling of the WS1 (same product line, same media). Same certification picture as WS1: 'NSF-certified components' claims only; no system-level listing at NSF, WQA, or IAPMO as of 2026-09-30.

No NSF/WQA/IAPMO system-level listing found for the Bodyguard system as of 2026-09-30. NSF does list US Water Systems, Inc. (C0466687) under NSF/ANSI 42, but only for filter cartridges (507-USWCB-xxxx) as COMPONENTS 'conforming to the material requirements only' – not the Bodyguard system.
US Water Systems Defender Whole House Reverse Osmosis System Not listed Not listed Not listed Not listed None found Marketing claims 'NSF Certified' tanks and 'FDA and NSF Compliant Resins' (components) plus an 'Ultimate Filtration: Eliminating PFOA/PFAS' table with percentage reductions. No NSF/ANSI 58 (or 42/53) system listing found for the Defender in NSF, WQA, or IAPMO directories as of 2026-09-30.

What the columns mean

  • NSF 42, aesthetic effects (chlorine taste/odor). NSF 53, health effects (lead, cysts, VOCs). NSF 58, reverse osmosis. NSF 372, lead-free materials.
  • Certified = we found the finished system in a live certifier listing. Not listed = no live listing found; the claim column explains what the marketing says instead. Cert copy expired = a certificate copy exists but is past its void-after date with no verifiable current listing.
  • PFAS evidence: zero systems are PFAS-certified. Four SpringWell systems have independent third-party lab results showing non-detect; three more carry manufacturer claims only.
  • Notable gaps: 3M’s AP903 NSF 42 claim traces to a UK (REG4) listing only; Aquasana’s EQ-1000 WQA listing covers the tank, while the manual says “not certified for contaminant reductions”; Kind’s marketed NSF 55 UV stage is held by the OEM (LUMINOR), not the assembled Kind system.
  • Listings change. If you buy on the basis of a certification, confirm it in the NSF listings directory or the WQA directory before purchase.
