Water-filter prices move constantly — manufacturers reprice, retailers run sales, and products get discontinued. Instead of letting our numbers go stale silently, we log every change we make to the database here, with the date. If a price we show looks off, this log tells you when we last touched it.

- SpringWell CF1: equipment observed at $1,160.25 (list $1,365) on springwellwater.com, above the $924–$1,144 range from our September 30 re-check. 10-year cost revised to $1,730–$2,160 (was $1,494–$2,144). - Buy links: Kind Water E-1000, E-2000, E-3000, and E-3000UV now go direct to kindwater.com via our Awin affiliate links (30% commission, confirmed ongoing as of October 2). The interim Amazon links noted on September 30 are retired.
September 30, 2026
- Buy links: Kind Water E-1000, E-3000, and E-3000UV now go to Amazon. While we await approval for Kind Water’s direct affiliate program, these three systems link to their Amazon listings (verified model numbers) instead of kindwater.com. We’ll switch to direct links once approved — they pay us more and usually cost you the same.
- Discontinued: Aquasana Rhino EQ-600 removed. Aquasana no longer sells the EQ-600 and its product page is gone, so we removed it from the database. The database now covers 49 systems.
- Full-database price re-check. Equipment and annual-upkeep price ranges re-observed across all 49 systems in our Cost-of-Ownership Database.
September 13, 2026
- Kind E-3000: $879–$976 observed on kindwater.com. Kind reprices this system frequently, which is why we show a range rather than a single number.
How we verify prices
- We re-check equipment and upkeep prices across the database on a regular cadence and stamp every database page with the observation date.
- Prices are always shown as ranges observed on a stated date, never as single numbers that pretend to be live.
- When a system is discontinued or a buy link changes, we log it here the same day.
- Spotted a price we got wrong? Tell us — we’ll re-check it and log the correction.
