Whole-House Water Filter Database
Forty-nine whole-house systems. One dataset. Every specification checked against certification listings, manuals, and current retail prices — labeled documented or estimated, never guessed. This is the research backbone behind everything we publish.

Methodology
- 49 systems from 11 brands: SpringWell, Kind, Aquasana, iSpring, Pelican/Pentair, US Water Systems, Home Master, APEC, 3M Aqua-Pure, GE, Whirlpool.
- Certifications checked against live NSF, WQA, and IAPMO listings on 2026-09-30 — not manufacturer marketing pages.
- Prices observed 2026-09-30 from manufacturer sites and major retailers. Always check the current price before buying; ours go stale.
- Total cost of ownership = equipment + installation + n × annual maintenance, using ranges throughout. Assumes 300 gallons/day household use where intervals are gallon-rated.
- We have no lab and did no hands-on testing. Specifications come from manufacturer documentation, certification records, and published pricing.
